BEST PHOTO
For the celebration of the first IRONMAN 70.3 LANZAROTE, which will take place in La Santa, Tinajo in Lanzarote the 10th of November 2012, Club La Santa presents the contest for the “BEST PHOTO”. The purpose is to raise awareness of this event and show the beauty of Lanzarote through photographic art.
SUBJECT
IRONMAN 70.3 LANZAROTE:Photos will be accepted from before, during and after the race, focusing on any of its aspects, both from within the organization as the point of view of the participants, the volunteers or spectators regardless of during which of the three disciplines. It is optional if the triathletes should be central theme in the photo or play a smaller part. Photos taken outside the closed areas will be highly appreciated. Finishing photos are excluded from the contest.
PARTICIPANTS
Open for both amateurs and professionals, except to photographers with official accreditation.
REGISTRATION
The photos must be submitted before the 20th of November 2012 at 12 am. The submitted photos must be original and not previously published. The participant presenting a photo, automatically declares to be the owner and author of the photo, that it is original and has not been published before.
ADMISSIONOFWORKSAND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Each participant can submit a maximum of 5 photos. The photos must be sent to bestphoto@clublasanta.com and needs to fulfill the following requirements:
- Up to 5 photos in jpeg format, with 2,000 pixels on it’s widest side, with a resolution of 200 dpi and a maximum size of 1 Mb. The name of the file is to be the title of the photo.
- Please attach a word document with contact information of the Photographer; address, phone number and e-mail address.
- The winning photos must be sent in TIFF format, 300 dpi and 30x40 cm size for promotional actions of the contest and race, for the present and future editions.
JURY
The jury consists of five people: two professional photographers, one triathlete, one worker of the tourist industry of Lanzarote and one member of the IRONMAN 70.3 LANZAROTE organization.
PRIZES
1st Prize: one week stay at Club La Santa in a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 people with half board and free use of sports facilities, as well as an entry to the Wellness Center, to be used before the 30th of September 2013 (subject to availability at time of booking)
In addition the winner will get a membership at the magazine Sportraining for one year.
2nd and 3rd prizes: week-end (2 nights) stay at Club La Santa in a 1 bedroom apartment for max. 3 adults + 1 child, accommodation and use of sports facilities to be used before the 30th of September 2013 (subject to availability at time of booking)
4th prize:Free Rent-a car for1 weekend from Hertz Canarias - Grupo Faycan
5th prize: a set of products from Ladival
20 other photos will be selected and given a sponsor gifts.
The winners will be publicly announced latest on the 10th of December 2012, both on the organization’s websites and by press release.
SELECTED AND WINNING PHOTOS
The 25 winning photos will be published in SPORTRAINING (Spanish magazine) in January-February, with the author’s names.
RIGHTS
The authors of the winning photos give Club La Santa, the organizer of this contest and of IRONMAN 70.3 LANZAROTE full right of use, dissemination, distribution, public communication, exhibition and reproduction which have to do with promotion or cultural purposes, always mentioning the author’s credit.
The participants guarantee and are responsible for compliance with the intellectual property and the rights of the photographs submitted and that dissemination and/or reproduction of the photo in the context doesn’t harm or in any other damage others.
OBLIGATIONS
The participants in the contest may at no point invade the race course or the transition area, nor disturb or be an obstacle for the smooth development of the race.
ACCEPTANCE
By entering this contest, the participants automatically fully accept each and every part of the contest rules and the final decision made by the jury.
